Well, in my case I reinstalled the whole system again and HT was disabled from the beginning...
So, either it has to do with the PCI slot and IRQ, or HT. Because the IRQ still looks like it is shared. (IRQ 22, I couldn't get it to IRQ 8/9/10/11/12), damn... I don't think I am gonna mess with HT ...

I have the Seagate Bar. IV and it works greats... very quiet...
the new Maxtor whould be very quiet with their FLB, and fast.
Don't worry about the ATA133/100 spec, you can't really push that limit with only one drive. If you got two on the same IDE channel, then yet, maybe it's worth considering...
