Hey dawman.
So, what about MOTU? What I need (and would prefer) is something that would expand the Pulsar’s in and outs. I used to have an Akai ME 30p, and it left when I weeded the synth garden at one point. I’m back to 4 external synths, three of which I’d like to capture cc as I wiggle the ...

iConnectivity iConnectMidi2+ Wow, what a disappointment
So, it seemed like a good idea - a way to facilitate MIDI routing for the times that I didn’t want to use the Pulsar2 or Luna MIDI, *and* it would allow audio pass through from my iPad synths into my DAW.
Simply, it doesn’t work.

Re: MIO 2 From iConnectivity
Sorry to dredge up an old topic.
I have an iConnectivity midi2+ with a lighting adaptor. It has *never* worked on either a Windows 7 or 10 build. The drivers and editor would install correctly, and when the midi2+ is (was) connected to the computer, the appropriate driver would load into Windows ...

Wow. An hour’s worth of work from a very kind Ableton employee - whose attitude and customer service was equal that from Sweetwater...and very appreciated...lead me to ask here :D
Thanks, a LOT for your advise. Suite now plays nice with Scope!
Standard was already set up to run in compatibility ...

I know that they are both in admin, but i’m Not sure that Ableton is in compatibility mode for 8. I’ll check and get back.
Thanks for the suggestions!

So this one has the techs at Ableton stumped...
I just upgraded to Ableton Suite. Ableton Standard ran (and still runs) just fine using Scope ASIO. Ableton Suite (same program, just additional addons) does not recognize Scope 5.1 as not only running, but will not recognize ASIO from Scope. Suite does just fine with ASIO4ALL, and the techs at ...

Re: Modular IV install in windows 10...time to depart Scope?
garyb, you make very good sociological points. The rise of the DJ as a producer, who mixes music that is physically made by others through large-label houses,..your point is clear. There are a few placed to get specialized stuff, but not many. Eurorack seems to be in ATM, so there's some variety ...

Re: Modular IV install in windows 10...time to depart Scope?
Nice. I’ve never met anyone in any big box, sales or customer, that knows @ SC or Creamware. The most common response is, “Why would you want a card that can do that?”

Back from the local computer clearinghouse, with a quick stop by the not-so-well-stocked big box music store.

Re: Modular IV install in windows 10...time to depart Scope?
I rearranged some things. I was able to get the Pulsar 2 card back in it’s original pci slot and the Luna in what the computer thinks is the secondary slot. There was enough room to run a straight ended SATA(n) cable beside the Pulsar card, so I’m down only one HD, but it’s the one I use for samples ...

Re: Modular IV install in windows 10...time to depart Scope?
It is a *very* questionable fit for the cards. The only mobo that I could find that had two pci slots was designed such that the cards hover over the SATA connections. I’ve whittled down the connectors and used 90 degree angle ones, but the only way the cards will physically fit is with the Luna in ...

Modular IV install in windows 10...time to depart Scope?
Hey all. I've had a bear of a time with installing scope in Windows 10 *after* I put in an SSD disk.
I had everything running smoothly under 10 by bypassing the signing check and running it in test mode. Now that I've installed an SSD, the drivers aren't working correctly (ableton or any other ...

OK, problem solved, but I don't know why it happened.
I deleted the "bad, bad" mixer and loaded [any other mixer] and the problem magically vanished. WTH.
Thanks for reading, o great two readers...

Grrrr...Scope synths won't play...
Hey all. I've reinstalled my 5.1 to a i5 based computer, using a z97 Hd3 mobo.
Using scope, I can get third party instruments to sound with no problem. I can see them receive midi, and watch their output through the Scope mixer as it leads it to the Pulsar output.
When I hook up, say the ...

I use a Blue Sky Media Desk 2.1 system. If you ever move into 5.1, you can purchase an expansion that upgrades the system to a true 5.1.

I've switched ribbon cables, tried the cd rom on both IDE 1 and 2 (as slave in both instances), and tried 3 different cd rom drives - a rom, a dvd rom/cd burner combo, and a brand new, out of the box cd burner (i like to have spares lying around, cuz you never know...) and all combinations give the ...
