SCOPE PLATFORM O/S COMPATIBILITY

With XITE-1 now being the main focus of Sonic Core sales and therefore development the members of PlanetZ have put together the following roadmap on Scope Platform OS version compatibility.  Please note this chart is not an official Sonic Core release, and is intended as a guide only which could change as further release information becomes available from Sonic Core.

This chart also does not cover specific issues encountered under the various service packs.  For issues such as this the PlanetZ search facility should be used for further more detailed clarifications.

Scope 4.0 / 4.5 on Windows 7 32 bit: This combination is not specifically supported by S|C and was tested by members running the installer and the Scope application itself in Windows XP Compatibility mode.

Scope 4.0 / 4.5 64 Bit OS Support: Some PCI card users running Scope 4.0 have queried the availability of 64 Bit support.  To date the only upgrade option for these users is to upgrade to Scope 5.0 / 5.1.  There is no knowledge of a separate free driver being provided, and many PlanetZ members encourage Scope 4.0 users to purchase the Scope 5.0 upgrade in view of the overall benefits of the upgrade and value supplied over the life of the PCI cards.

64 Bit Known Issues: It should also be noted that as of time of writing this article users may experience issues with Scope XTC mode and Rewire under the 64 bit version of Windows. Also at time of writing, Scope 5.1 Full has not been released so support may vary from the above chart.

PCI Card Support:  Sonic Core are not currently manufacturing PCI cards (as the production line is currently geared for XITE-1 manufacture).  However, Sonic Core continue to provide support the PCI cards (including cards purchased from Creamware) as per the above chart.

PCI Card Availability:  Regarding the availability of Scope PCI cards they may be limited to repair spares only from Sonic Core.  However, there are often second hand boards in good condition available in the Purchasing and Trading section of the PlanetZ forum.
